WRITING 

TASK 1

  • The task is to do data analysis, from the provided data.
  • Writing should have 4 paragraphs 
  1. Introduction – Rephrase the question
  2. Overview- An overall idea about the data 
  3. Body paragraph 1 – content from the data 
  4. Body paragraph 2 – the remaining data 
  • Not necessary to write all the numerical values instead, write the necessary information which can convey the exact idea of the provided data to the examiners. 
  • Should not miss the relevant information. 
  • Minimum word count 150
  • Time limit 20 minutes 

Evaluation criteria 

  • Task achievement –  Respond to the question correctly with minimum 150 words
  • Coherence & Cohesion – Present ideas logically in paragraphs, make sensible points.
  • Lexical resources – use  a wide range of vocabulary 
  • Grammar range and accuracy – Use a wide range of grammar and sentence structures

TASK 2 

  • Understand the background information and type of question.
  • Arrange the essay into 5 paragraphs 
  1. Introduction – introduce the question and give your view 
  2. Body paragraph 1 – 1st point with example and explanation 
  3. Body paragraph 2 – 2nd point with example and explanation 
  4. Body paragraph 3 – 3rd point with example and explanation (optional)
  5. Conclusion 
  • Minimum word count 250
  • Time limit 40 minutes 

Evaluation criteria 

  • Task achievement –  Respond to the question correctly with minimum 150 words
  • Coherence & Cohesion – Present ideas logically in paragraphs, make sensible points.
  • Lexical resources – use  a wide range of vocabulary 
  • Grammar range and accuracy – Use a wide range of grammar and sentence structures

SPEAKING 

Part 1 ( Introduction)

  • Give answers in one or 2 sentences 
  • Don’t answer in one word 

Part 2 ( Question card) 

  • Utilize one minute of preparation 
  • Plan your answers well
  • Use  the whole 2 minutes to speak 
  • Speak with good vocabularies 
  • Avoid repeating sentences.

Part 3 (Discussion)

  • Answer with 3 to 4 sentences 
  • Answer to the questions
  • Always give an explanation to the question.

READING 

  • It is better to write your answers using capital letters
  • Read the instruction for all the questions well
  • Divide 20 minutes each for each passage 
  • Don’t forget to highlight the keywords in passages and questions

LISTENING 

  • It is better to write your answers using capital letters
  • Read the instruction for all the questions well
  • Listen audio carefully
