Diagnosis:

Type 1 fracture – 1 mm above left elbow, little displacement, humerus aligned no surgery, immobilised in splint 4wks

Past medical history: 2004: peritonitis: 2011:2 melanomas removed (left shoulder

Social background:

• Quiet lifestyle, gardening – including vegetable growing. 
• Home-based accounting business in partnership with husband. 
• Does accounts free of charge for church on weekends no rost. 
• Recent weight loss probably due to marital issues

Medical background: 

• Admitted with broken arm – scooter accident. Hit head (wearing helmet) on concrete wall. On impact – disorientation, dizziness, nausea. 
• In hospital – pain, general stiffness, weakness, mobility with pick-up frame, needs help with shower dressing, brushing hair.

Medical progress:

• motivated to Independent dressing & shower toilet.
• Some chest & abdomen, pain, weight loss. Poor appetite
